The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,390.84), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richmond Burton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eyes In The Heat, which sold at auction in July 2019 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,846.36).
