Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work Frequent Flyer by Richmond Burton. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,378.75), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richmond Burton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eyes In The Heat, which sold at auction in July 2019 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,846.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Frequent Flyer von Richmond Burton zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.378,75) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Richmond Burton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eyes In The Heat beobachtet, die im Juli 2019 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.846,36) versteigert wurde.
