This artwork by Richmond Burton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in July 2020. In the Contemporary Art | New York auction, the work Rose sold for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,369.97) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richmond Burton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eyes In The Heat, which sold at auction in July 2019 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,846.36).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Richmond Burton erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | New York wurde die Arbeit Rose für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.369,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Richmond Burton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eyes In The Heat beobachtet, die im Juli 2019 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.846,36) versteigert wurde.
