Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Input by Rebecca Ness was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,700.00 (€ 53,219.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rebecca Ness have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Origins in May last year with an auction result of HKD 2,016,000.00 (€ 239,342.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Input von Rebecca Ness wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 56.700,00 (€ 53.219,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rebecca Ness auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Origins im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.016.000,00 (€ 239.342,47).
