Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Schmutz by Rebecca Ness was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in March this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 40,320.00 (€ 45,871.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Rebecca Ness have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Origins in May last year with an auction result of HKD 2,016,000.00 (€ 239,342.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Schmutz von Rebecca Ness wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 40.320,00 (€ 45.871,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rebecca Ness auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Origins im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.016.000,00 (€ 239.342,47).
