Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Holly Home Coming by Rebecca Ness was sold in the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 567,000.00 (€ 67,961.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rebecca Ness - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Origins, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 2,016,000.00 (€ 239,342.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Holly Home Coming von Rebecca Ness wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 567.000,00 (€ 67.961,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rebecca Ness mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Origins beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 2.016.000,00 (€ 239.342,47) versteigert wurde.
