Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Rebecca Ness achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in October last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work Pencil Flipper sold for GBP 119,700.00 (€ 139,449.17) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rebecca Ness; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Origins sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of HKD 2,016,000.00 (€ 239,342.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rebecca Ness erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Pencil Flipper für GBP 119.700,00 (€ 139.449,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Rebecca Ness; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Origins im Mai letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 2.016.000,00 (€ 239.342,47).
