This artwork by Qiu Shihua achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 17,937.45) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Qiu Shihua have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wooded Pasture in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 138,000.00 (€ 104,064.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Qiu Shihua erzielte im November 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 17.937,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Shihua auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wooded Pasture im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.000,00 (€ 104.064,55).
