Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Field and Mountain by Qiu Shihua was worth EUR 22,680.00 to a buyer in December this year. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art – online sale including ‘’A Lifetime Collection’’ at Christies in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Qiu Shihua have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wooded Pasture in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 138,000.00 (€ 104,064.55).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Field and Mountain von Qiu Shihua war einem Käufer im Dezember diesen Jahres EUR 22.680,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art – online sale including ‘’A Lifetime Collection’’ bei Christies in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Shihua auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wooded Pasture im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.000,00 (€ 104.064,55).
