Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Untitled by Qiu Shihua. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,446.34). Admittedly, works by Qiu Shihua have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wooded Pasture in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 138,000.00 (€ 104,064.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled von Qiu Shihua zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.446,34) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Shihua auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wooded Pasture im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.000,00 (€ 104.064,55).
