This work without title by Qiu Shihua was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 33,459.70), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Qiu Shihua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wooded Pasture, which sold at auction in November 2006 for USD 138,000.00 (€ 104,064.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Qiu Shihua wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 33.459,70) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Für andere Arbeiten von Qiu Shihua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wooded Pasture beobachtet, die im November 2006 für USD 138.000,00 (€ 104.064,55) versteigert wurde.
