Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Qiu Shihua was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. It changed hands for a price of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 24,451.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Qiu Shihua have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wooded Pasture in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 138,000.00 (€ 104,064.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Qiu Shihua wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 24.451,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Shihua auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wooded Pasture im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.000,00 (€ 104.064,55).
