This work without title by Qiu Shihua was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 200,000.00 (€ 20,590.58), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. Admittedly, works by Qiu Shihua have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wooded Pasture in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 138,000.00 (€ 104,064.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Qiu Shihua wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 200.000,00 (€ 20.590,58) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Qiu Shihua auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wooded Pasture im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 138.000,00 (€ 104.064,55).
