The work Wooded Pasture by Qiu Shihua was sold in the Contemporary Art Part I auction at Phillips in New York in November 2006. It achieved a price of USD 138,000.00 (€ 104,064.55), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 15%. With this result, Wooded Pasture is even the most expensive work of art by Qiu Shihua that we have observed at auctions so far.
