Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Chan could be acquired at Phillips in New York in April last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work The Libertine Reader (P. 88) changed hands for USD 945.00 (€ 896.84) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Chan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Body of Oh Rosette (True Type Font) in December last year with an auction result of USD 30,240.00 (€ 28,266.97).
