Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blurry but not blind - after Mallarmé, from Alternumerics by Paul Chan was sold in the Editions Online auction at Phillips in an online auction in April 2020. The price achieved of USD 563.00 (€ 513.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Chan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Body of Oh Rosette (True Type Font) in December last year with an auction result of USD 30,240.00 (€ 28,266.97).

Die Arbeit Blurry but not blind - after Mallarmé, from Alternumerics von Paul Chan wurde im April 2020 in der Auktion Editions Online bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 563,00 (€ 513,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Chan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Body of Oh Rosette (True Type Font) im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 28.266,97).
