This price was achieved in the auction Editions & Works on Paper at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Chan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Body of Oh Rosette (True Type Font) sold at auction in December last year with the realized price of USD 30,240.00 (€ 28,266.97).
