Auction result misses estimated price range

In September 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Rolando Escadabaixo by Os Gêmeos for USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,277.55). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Os Gêmeos have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Amigo in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 153,853.44).
