Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Minimal Fict by Omar Rayo was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,763.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Omar Rayo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ola-Zen I, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 105,059.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Minimal Fict von Omar Rayo wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.763,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Omar Rayo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ola-Zen I beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 125.000,00 (€ 105.059,67) versteigert wurde.
