Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Velamen del Wayuú XXV by Omar Rayo was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November last year. The price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 24,411.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Omar Rayo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ola-Zen I in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 105,059.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Velamen del Wayuú XXV von Omar Rayo kam im November letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 24.411,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Omar Rayo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ola-Zen I im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 105.059,67).
