The work Murdrum by Omar Rayo was sold in the Contemporary Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It achieved a price of USD 52,920.00 (€ 49,315.07), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 32%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Omar Rayo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ola-Zen I, which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 105,059.67).

Die Arbeit Murdrum von Omar Rayo wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 52.920,00 (€ 49.315,07) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 32%. Für andere Arbeiten von Omar Rayo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ola-Zen I beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 125.000,00 (€ 105.059,67) versteigert wurde.
