Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Candanga by Omar Rayo was sold in the Latin American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in November 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,693.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Omar Rayo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ola-Zen I in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 105,059.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Candanga von Omar Rayo wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Latin American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.693,00) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Omar Rayo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ola-Zen I im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 105.059,67).
