Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Angled Wood And Angled Wood by Neil Jenney. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 221,000.00 (€ 162,023.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Neil Jenney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Threat and Sanctuary in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 965,000.00 (€ 866,636.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Angled Wood And Angled Wood von Neil Jenney zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 162.023,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Neil Jenney auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Threat and Sanctuary im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 965.000,00 (€ 866.636,73).
