Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Morning Session, which included the work Lines and Track by Neil Jenney. The price achieved of USD 245,700.00 (€ 200,899.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Neil Jenney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Threat and Sanctuary in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 965,000.00 (€ 866,636.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th c. and Contemporary Art Day Sale - Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lines and Track von Neil Jenney zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 245.700,00 (€ 200.899,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Neil Jenney auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Threat and Sanctuary im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 965.000,00 (€ 866.636,73).
