This artwork by Nari Ward achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Casio Black sold for USD 175,000.00 (€ 149,957.16) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. This high result makes Casio Black the most expensive artwork by Nari Ward that we have observed at auctions so far.
