Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Butterfly Flame by Nari Ward. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,270.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nari Ward achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Casio Black in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 175,000.00 (€ 149,957.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Butterfly Flame von Nari Ward zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.270,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nari Ward erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Casio Black im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 149.957,16).
