Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Phillips in New York held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Gorgon and Runner by Nancy Spero. The price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,922.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nancy Spero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love, Peace, Glory in July 2020 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 50,959.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gorgon and Runner von Nancy Spero zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.922,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nancy Spero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love, Peace, Glory im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 50.959,74).
