Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dancers by Nancy Spero was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online Sale auction at Bonhams in London in December this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,176.00 (€ 2,506.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nancy Spero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love, Peace, Glory in July 2020 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 50,959.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dancers von Nancy Spero wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.176,00 (€ 2.506,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nancy Spero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love, Peace, Glory im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 50.959,74).
