Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gestapo Victim / Goddess Nut by Nancy Spero was auctioned at Phillips in 12 - in April this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,620.00 (€ 8,684.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nancy Spero have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Love, Peace, Glory in July 2020 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 50,959.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Gestapo Victim / Goddess Nut von Nancy Spero kam im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 12 - zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.620,00 (€ 8.684,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nancy Spero auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Love, Peace, Glory im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 50.959,74).
