Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Goddess Nut and Torture Victim by Nancy Spero was sold in the Editions Southampton auction at Phillips in New York in June last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,394.00 (€ 2,286.75) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nancy Spero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love, Peace, Glory in July 2020 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 50,959.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Goddess Nut and Torture Victim von Nancy Spero wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Editions Southampton bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.394,00 (€ 2.286,75) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nancy Spero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love, Peace, Glory im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 50.959,74).
