Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 Phillips in New York held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work Black/Silver Line; Color Line; House; and Pink Pony by Michael Scott. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,132.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Scott have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bathers in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,319.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black/Silver Line; Color Line; House; and Pink Pony von Michael Scott zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.132,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Scott auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bathers im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.170,00 (€ 10.319,60).
