This price was achieved in the auction Phillips x Artsy: Endless Summer at Phillips in an online auction and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 2,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Michael Scott; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Bathers sold at auction in October 2004 with the realized price of GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,319.60).
