Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michael Scott could be acquired at Bonhams in July this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Untitled (McDonald's, Haddonfield, Berlin Road) changed hands for USD 416.00 (€ 377.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Scott achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bathers in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,319.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Scott konnte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (McDonald's, Haddonfield, Berlin Road) für USD 416,00 (€ 377,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 700,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Scott erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bathers im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.170,00 (€ 10.319,60).
