Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled #18 by Michael Scott for GBP 480.00 (€ 696.69). This price was achieved in the auction POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY ART at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Scott achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Bathers in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,319.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled #18 von Michael Scott für GBP 480,00 (€ 696,69) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion POST-WAR AND CONTEMPORARY ART bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 900,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Scott erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Bathers im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.170,00 (€ 10.319,60).
