Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Portrait) by Meyer Vaisman was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,580.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Meyer Vaisman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Souvenir, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 21,250.00 (€ 20,119.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Portrait) von Meyer Vaisman wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.580,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Meyer Vaisman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Souvenir beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 21.250,00 (€ 20.119,30) versteigert wurde.
