In March 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online, which included the work The Money Shot by Meyer Vaisman. The result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,343.78) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Meyer Vaisman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Souvenir, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 21,250.00 (€ 20,119.30).

Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis

Im März 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Money Shot von Meyer Vaisman zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.343,78) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Meyer Vaisman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Souvenir beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 21.250,00 (€ 20.119,30) versteigert wurde.
