Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Noble Amazon, 1990 by Meyer Vaisman was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,614.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Meyer Vaisman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Souvenir, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 21,250.00 (€ 20,119.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Noble Amazon, 1990 von Meyer Vaisman kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.012,50 (€ 6.614,32) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Meyer Vaisman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Souvenir beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 21.250,00 (€ 20.119,30) versteigert wurde.
