In May 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Dna: White Painting: Test For Seasons: Xii by McArthur Binion. The »bidding war« ended at USD 68,750.00 (€ 58,911.74), 72% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by McArthur Binion have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work DNA Study: III in May last year with an auction result of USD 428,400.00 (€ 399,217.22).

Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dna: White Painting: Test For Seasons: Xii von McArthur Binion zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 58.911,74) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von McArthur Binion auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit DNA Study: III im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 428.400,00 (€ 399.217,22).
