This artwork by McArthur Binion achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in March 2021. In the New Now auction, the work Looking for White: One sold for USD 84,420.00 (€ 71,889.64) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by McArthur Binion have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work DNA Study: III in May last year with an auction result of USD 428,400.00 (€ 399,217.22).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von McArthur Binion auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit DNA Study: III im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 428.400,00 (€ 399.217,22).
