Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Lowell Nesbitt could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints & Multiples auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 188.00 (€ 165.90) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lowell Nesbitt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work White Electric Daffodil in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,315.82).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lowell Nesbitt konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 188,00 (€ 165,90) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lowell Nesbitt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit White Electric Daffodil im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.315,82).
