The work Anemone Xxii by Lowell Nesbitt was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2016. It achieved a price of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,292.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Lowell Nesbitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work White Electric Daffodil in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,315.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Anemone Xxii von Lowell Nesbitt kam im März 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.292,36) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lowell Nesbitt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit White Electric Daffodil im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.315,82).
