Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Male Form, which included this untitled work by Lowell Nesbitt. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,435.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lowell Nesbitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work White Electric Daffodil in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,315.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Male Form durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Lowell Nesbitt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.435,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lowell Nesbitt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit White Electric Daffodil im September 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.315,82).
