This artwork by Los Carpinteros achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2015. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Punk sold for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 19,232.82) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Los Carpinteros - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sala De Lectura Origami, which sold at auction in May 2016 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 44,903.46).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Los Carpinteros erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Punk für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 19.232,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Los Carpinteros mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sala De Lectura Origami beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 44.903,46) versteigert wurde.
