Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work Radio Metropolitana (Metropolitan Radio) by Los Carpinteros for USD 8,890.00 (€ 8,176.97). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Los Carpinteros have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sala De Lectura Origami in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 44,903.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Radio Metropolitana (Metropolitan Radio) von Los Carpinteros für USD 8.890,00 (€ 8.176,97) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Los Carpinteros auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sala De Lectura Origami im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 44.903,46).
