Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Enfant 2 by Li Tianbing was sold in the Contemporary Art Day auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2011. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,434.06) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Tianbing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Image Collective Devant La Porte in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 180,500.00 (€ 245,268.88).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Enfant 2 von Li Tianbing wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 10.434,06) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Tianbing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Image Collective Devant La Porte im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 180.500,00 (€ 245.268,88).
