This artwork by Li Tianbing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October this year. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work without title sold for GBP 107,100.00 (€ 122,980.55) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Li Tianbing; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Image Collective Devant La Porte sold at auction in December 2007 with the realized price of GBP 180,500.00 (€ 245,268.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Tianbing erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 107.100,00 (€ 122.980,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Li Tianbing; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Image Collective Devant La Porte im Dezember 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 180.500,00 (€ 245.268,88).
