Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Architecture by Lajos Kassák for USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,697.88). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Lajos Kassák have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dinamika in June this year with an auction result of EUR 52,920.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Architecture von Lajos Kassák für USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.697,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lajos Kassák auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dinamika im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 52.920,00.
