In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective, which included the work Hungarian ma 1 by Lajos Kassák. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,941.04), 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lajos Kassák have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dinamika in June this year with an auction result of EUR 52,920.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hungarian ma 1 von Lajos Kassák zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.941,04) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lajos Kassák auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dinamika im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 52.920,00.
