In October 2017 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Collection Arthur Brandt : Dada, Surréalisme et au-delà, which included the work Raven by Lajos Kassák. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 12,500.00 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lajos Kassák have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dinamika in June this year with an auction result of EUR 52,920.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 56 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Collection Arthur Brandt : Dada, Surréalisme et au-delà durch, in der auch die Arbeit Raven von Lajos Kassák zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 12.500,00 und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lajos Kassák auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dinamika im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 52.920,00.
