Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kerstin Brätsch could be acquired at Sothebys in London in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Thus! (From Swiss Spa Cava/Stars And Stripes Series) changed hands for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 13,987.50) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kerstin Brätsch - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Quasi in rem, which sold at auction in June 2012 for GBP 32,450.00 (€ 40,180.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kerstin Brätsch konnte im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit Thus! (From Swiss Spa Cava/Stars And Stripes Series) für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 13.987,50) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kerstin Brätsch mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Quasi in rem beobachtet, die im Juni 2012 für GBP 32.450,00 (€ 40.180,83) versteigert wurde.
